日々の中で出逢った違和感や心象風景に重なった景色と、自身の原体験や皮膚感覚を元に抽出した創造を混ぜ合わせて構成することで、現実と非現実、その間(あわい)を写真として立ち上げている。
人間の本質的なリアリティを追い求める姿勢は暗闇そのものを描くためではなく、そこにしか届かない光を見つめ続けるための祈りであり、同時に世界に対する呪いでもある。

作品を届ける意義を思考しながら展示を行い、会場の特性に呼応した、その場でしか成立しない展示空間を模索している。
「写真を束ねる行為とは何か」という問いのもと、手製本の写真集やZINEなど、実験的な出版表現にも継続的に取り組んでいる。

近年は東京を拠点としつつ地方へと活動を広げ、作品が立ち上がる環境や文脈を含めた表現の深化を図っている。
答えが即座に消費されやすい現代において、想像することや見えない未来を信じる行為そのものを、制作を通して手放さずにいる。

By interweaving scenes encountered in daily life that resonate with subtle discomfort or inner landscapes, together with creations distilled from my primal experiences and bodily sensations, I construct photographs that bring forth the threshold between reality and unreality—the awai, the space in between.

My pursuit of an essential human reality is not an attempt to depict darkness itself. Rather, it is a prayer to keep gazing at the light that can only be reached through darkness—and at the same time, a curse cast upon the world.

As I reflect on the meaning of delivering my work to others, I develop exhibitions that respond to the specific qualities of each venue, seeking installation spaces that can only exist in that particular place and moment.

Guided by the question, “What does it mean to bind photographs together?”, I continue to explore experimental forms of publishing, including hand-bound photobooks and zines.

In recent years, while based in Tokyo, I have expanded my activities to regional areas, striving to deepen my practice by engaging with the environments and contexts in which the work emerges.

In an age where answers are instantly consumed and just as quickly forgotten, I hold fast—through my practice—to the act of imagining and to believing in futures that cannot yet be seen.
